Specialist, (Non Supervisory), Fund/Client Accounting Representative II
About the role
This role is located in Boston, MA. In this role, you’ll make an impact by:
- Leading day-to-day operations for a medium-sized fund accounting support team.
- Providing work direction and technical assistance on complex matters.
- Overseeing daily accounting and NAV production functions for more complex funds.
- Reviewing data, resolving escalated issues, and maintaining accounting records for higher-complexity funds.
- Driving process improvements, including establishing data maintenance and summarization processes.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
- 5–7 years of total work experience (preferred).
- Experience in accounting support, including NAV production, reporting, and resolving complex data issues (preferred).
- Experience preparing and coordinating system-generated reports and reviewing the work of junior team members (preferred).
- People leadership: No direct reports; may have work allocation and team lead responsibilities, and regular client interaction to exchange information and address questions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
- 5–7 years of total work experience (preferred).
- Experience in accounting support, including NAV production, reporting, and resolving complex data issues (preferred).
- Experience preparing and coordinating system-generated reports and reviewing the work of junior team members (preferred).
Skills
Skills required for this role include:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of financial accounting principles and regulations.

Pay
The base salary for this position is expected to be between $52,000 and $106,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company- sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team.
