Specialist, Middle Office II
About the role
The Specialist, Middle Office II role is located in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is responsible for processing, monitoring, researching, and analyzing transactions and resolving complex inquiries. You will coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders and external clients to gather and disseminate data-related information about transactions. Conducting research to gather information on complex transactions and straightforward data-related inquiries is also part of the responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for processing, monitoring, researching, and analyzing transactions and resolving complex inquiries.
- Collaborates with multiple internal stakeholders and external clients to gather and disseminate data-related information about transactions.
- Conducts research to gather information on complex transactions and straightforward data-related inquiries.
- Conducts custodian bank reconciliations analysis, break assignment and resolution, daily portfolio valuation, account level pricing, NAV calculations, monthly accounting close processes, cash projection reports, cash management support, monthly end-client statement workflow and validation, ad hoc reporting, trade static data maintenance, trade enrichment, trade exception handling, and market claims.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 3-5 years of total relevant work experience preferred.
- Experience in Middle Office functions and developing Middle Office skills and expertise.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex inquiries and transactions.
- Provides guidance to less experienced Middle Office staff as needed.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we are seeking candidates who have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of total relevant work experience.
- Experience in Middle Office functions and developing Middle Office skills and expertise.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex inquiries and transactions.
- Ability to provide guidance to less experienced Middle Office staff as needed.
