Specialist, Marketing Analytics

At Nationwide®, we’re looking for a strategic, analytically strong marketing professional to support and enhance our email marketing efforts. This role is ideal for someone who brings a blend of data fluency, business insight, communication skills, and a passion for turning complex information into clear, actionable recommendations. You will serve as a trusted thought partner to multiple marketing teams, helping them make smarter, faster decisions through data, reporting, analysis, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate combines analytical depth with strong business partnership skills and is energized by using data to improve marketing performance at scale.
This hybrid position is based in Columbus, OH. Candidates located near a Nationwide campus will collaborate in office 2 days per week. Current Nationwide Remote Associates may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end support for email marketing measurement and analytics, including process development, data collection, campaign classification, reporting, visualization, analysis, and optimization recommendations.
- Partner closely with Marketing Managers and Marketing Integration teams to deliver data-driven insights that improve campaign performance.
- Build reports and dashboards that help stakeholders understand results, trends, and opportunities.
- Apply analytical rigor to evaluate marketing effectiveness and identify actions that can improve outcomes.
- Support additional marketing channels and cross-functional teams as business needs evolve.
- Assist with multiple projects to develop business and data analysis to drive business objectives.
- Participate on workstreams of projects designed to execute analytics and deliver analytic and operational capabilities and solutions.
- Help generate understanding of business processes and assist with identifying critical business metrics and information requirements for decision making.
- Document the efforts of business subject matter professionals; assist with business alignment and scoping sessions.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret a wide variety of underlying data to support business, customer, and/or financial objectives; identify new ways to combine business data to improve business processes and marketing outcomes.
- Assist with building and/or improving existing statistical models to solve business problems; define requirements for sophisticated machine-learning models; implement testing strategy and assist in putting final models into production.
- Interpret statistical/analytical results and create a feedback loop for analysis improvement.
- Build data visualization to support business needs.
- Design and implement qualitative and quantitative research projects and methodologies used to measure consumer perceptions and satisfaction.
- Drive marketing action and results through the interpretation and application of data and research findings.
- Facilitate business implementation planning sessions.
- Facilitate post-implementation checkpoint with business units to ensure best-in-class solutions are implemented.
- Work with leader to influence change and gain support from leadership and key partners for the development of new processes and methods.
- Assist with developing governance, documentation, and training around new processes.
Requirements
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business insights.
- Experience working with marketing and customer data across platforms such as Salesforce, Databricks, Teradata, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of statistical methods, including test design and statistical significance.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, preferably Power BI.
- Ability to work across teams, manage multiple priorities, and influence decisions through insight and collaboration.
- Typically, five or more years of related experience with analytic techniques, statistical methodologies, statistical software, and data analysis.
- Experience with problem-solving in a business environment; working with large customer and/or prospect databases; working with product, geographic, demographic data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of analytic lifecycle, business intelligence, database warehousing applications, structured query language, and qualitative/quantitative research methodologies.
- Proven problem-solving, analytical, research, and quantitative analysis skills, including regression, decision trees, multivariate analysis, etc.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in developing ad hoc queries using SQL.
- Comprehension of Agile methodology framework.

Pay
The national salary range for Specialist, Marketing Information Management: $88,000.00 - $164,000.00.
The expected starting salary range for Specialist, Marketing Information Management: $88,000.00 - $132,000.00.
Placement within the actual starting salary range will be determined by skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market.
