Specialist Manager, Engagement Matters

Job Summary

Analyze proposed client services and relationships against auditor independence requirements, advise on independence matters, and develop policy communications.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply independence rules and policies
• Advise Partners and client service leadership on independence issues
• Perform research, draft conclusions, and strategize on independence matters
• Develop policy communications and training materials
• Interpret and apply AICPA, SEC, PCAOB, and Deloitte US Firm independence rules

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and collaborate
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and professional skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in professional services, compliance, risk management, accounting, finance, law, or audit
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, compliance, law, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Experience with artificial intelligence and emerging technology solutions

Qualifications

• Ability to travel up to 10%
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and/or advanced degree in finance, accounting, business, or law preferred
• Experience in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, internal controls, and rule interpretation
• Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
• Experience in public accounting
• Understanding of Deloitte businesses, service offerings, or service delivery models
