Job Summary
Analyze proposed client services and relationships against auditor independence requirements, advise on independence matters, and develop policy communications.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply independence rules and policies
- Advising Partners and client service leadership on independence matters
- Performing research, drafting conclusions, and strategizing on independence matters
- Developing policy communications and training materials
- Interpreting and applying AICPA, SEC, PCAOB, and Deloitte US Firms independence rules
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and collaborate
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
- Experience in professional services, compliance, risk management, accounting, finance, legal, or audit environments
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, compliance, law, or another related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Experience with artificial intelligence-enabled tools or emerging technology solutions

Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, compliance, law, or another related field
- 5+ years of experience in professional services, compliance, risk management, accounting, finance, legal, or audit environments
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and/or advanced degree in finance, accounting, business, or law preferred
- Experience in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, internal controls, and interpretation of rules, regulations, and standards
- Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
- Experience in public accounting
- Strong understanding of Deloitte businesses, service offerings, or service delivery models
