Specialist Manager, Engagement Matters

Job Summary

Analyze proposed client services and relationships against auditor independence requirements, advise on independence matters, and develop policy communications.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply independence rules and policies
• Advising Partners and client service leadership on independence matters
• Performing research, drafting conclusions, and strategizing on independence matters
• Developing policy communications and training materials
• Interpreting and applying AICPA, SEC, PCAOB, and Deloitte US Firms independence rules

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and collaborate
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
• Experience in professional services, compliance, risk management, accounting, finance, legal, or audit environments
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, compliance, law, or another related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Experience with artificial intelligence-enabled tools or emerging technology solutions

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, compliance, law, or another related field
• 5+ years of experience in professional services, compliance, risk management, accounting, finance, legal, or audit environments
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and/or advanced degree in finance, accounting, business, or law preferred
• Experience in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, internal controls, and interpretation of rules, regulations, and standards
• Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
• Experience in public accounting
• Strong understanding of Deloitte businesses, service offerings, or service delivery models
