About the role

The Specialist - Learning Strategy role at United Airlines provides hands-on coordination and support across multiple learning initiatives. This includes managing schedules, systems, communications, materials, and content design updates for the Learning Strategy team. Responsibilities also involve assisting with the deployment of training programs, facilitating learning sessions, drafting communications, analyzing program effectiveness, managing session logistics, and coordinating meetings and events.

Responsibilities

  • Affords support for the deployment of multiple training programs for United employees
  • Facilitates learning programs and sessions, ensuring a positive, engaging, and consistent learner experience
  • Drafts communications and communication plans for programs and key initiatives
  • Analyzes program effectiveness, surveys, and ROI
  • Manages sessions, registrations, and attendance in TakeOff (Cornerstone), our Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Manages logistics for program participants and external consultants/faculty
  • Provides administrative support, including ordering supplies, managing invoices, data management, and organizing and maintaining files
  • Collaborates on ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Up to 10% travel as needed
  • Proficient to expert level Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) skills
  • Experience with a learning management system (LMS), preferably Cornerstone (or comparable web-based LMS)
  • Task/Program Management experience
  • Employee Training experience
  • Problem Solving skills
  • Stakeholder Management experience
  • Learning and development experience (designing and/or facilitating programming)

Qualifications

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and effectively leverages them to support research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving
  • Apply critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs while adhering to organizational policies for responsible AI use, data privacy, and security
  • Experience working as part of a team
  • Analytical thinking skills

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $66,500.00 to $86,616.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
