Specialist IS Business Systems Analyst

Duties

• Lead requirements gathering and user story creation sessions with key business users and partners, eliciting business requirements for system functionality.
• Maintain a prioritized backlog according to business value so that each successive sprint is planned clearly and efficiently, and that development decisions are aligned with business needs.
• Perform data analysis across multiple areas of data to drive understanding and documentation of business logic behind key metrics.
• Assist subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing system changes, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
• Lead sessions to document and drive understanding and alignment across business groups on metrics definition and data usage.
• Engage with key vendors and platform owners to understand functionality and how those platforms can be leveraged to solve business problems.
• Lead development of user guides or documentation on system function.

Requirements

• Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Management or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Technology-related occupation.
• Experience also requires 2 years in the following: Perform data analysis to derive business logic to support key metrics; Involve in production deployment including business analysis, guiding the development process, coordinating UAT, and release management; Run analysis and SQLs against large sets of data; Utilize agile methodologies and authoring development ready user stories, Defect and Epic tracking in Scrum tool including JIRA; Utilize specialized software including Databricks, AWS Cloud, Smartsheet and data analysis tools, laboratory automation systems to drive innovation in product development, optimize biotechnological processes, and ensure scalable, efficient solutions for biopharma applications; Elicit, analyze, and translate business requirements for software implementation initiatives; and Web application development and delivery, Gen AI applications development, data integration and enterprise data fabric concepts and technologies including Python, React JS.

The annual salary range for this position in the U.S. is $115,058.00 - $143,472.00 per year. Also, this position offers stock, retirement, medical, life and disability insurance and eligibility for an annual bonus or for sales roles, other incentive compensation.
