Specialist, Inventory Control

About the role

The Inventory Control Specialist will assist on-site operations in inventory control analysis, counting, and implementing standard operating procedures. The role reports to the ICQA Area Manager.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory audits and cycle counts to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
• Analyze inventory data and generate reports on inventory levels and stock movements.
• Identify discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts and investigate root causes.
• Afford assistance in developing and implementing inventory control procedures and best practices to improve accuracy.
• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and warehouse teams for best practices and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• 2+ years of experience in Pharmacy Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Strong understanding of inventory management practices and procedures, including pharmaceutical distribution, inventory control, quality management systems, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, FDA, CGMP, GDP).
• Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems (Netsuite, ePRO, SAP, etc.).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or above.

Skills

• Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).

Medical approval for respiratory protection, including N95, full face respirator, SCBA, or PAPR. Physical exertion required, including walking, standing, squatting, bending, and lifting up to 80% of the time for up to a twelve-hour shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Associates must confirm understanding of potential risks associated with handling hazardous drugs.
