- Conducts investigations regarding known or suspected acts detrimental to the Company's best interest in accordance with applicable laws and rules of evidence pertaining to conducting interviews, obtaining signed statements, obtaining photographic or forensic evidence, and documenting investigative reports.
- Performs on-call duty (includes after-hours, weekends, holidays) on a rotational basis and takes appropriate action pertaining to emergencies.
- Conducts security assessments and inspections to assure compliance with security standards, policies, and procedures applicable to the electric and natural gas industries.
- Develops and conducts security training programs for Company employees.
- Makes recommendations for periodic awareness communications.
- Uses technology such as, but not limited to, video surveillance systems and records management systems.
- Performs activities required to protect company personnel and executives, assets, confidential information, Company-sponsored events, and other business interests.
- Coordinates activities of contracted security services including, but not limited to, guard services and off-duty police officers.
- Maintains an active liaison program with law enforcement, governmental agencies, and colleagues in the private sector in order to learn alternate security technology, procedures, and programs which may benefit the company.
- Performs and documents properly all work assignments in a timely, accurate, and confidential manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Criminal Justice or a related field.
- Will consider relevant job-related experience for non-degree candidates.
- 1 to 4 years of professional experience in an occupation utilizing physical security practices and procedures.
