About the role
SitusAMC is seeking a Specialist I, SQC Audit Setup to join our team. This role includes Servicing Quality Control (SQC) activities, focusing on loan administration and servicing guidelines compliance.
Responsibilities
- Identify proper documentation for data capture
- Capture information within system or designated areas (client systems)
- Run embedded rules and logic against captured information
- Clear validations and apply exceptions as necessary
- Perform QC reviews for peers and report extracts
- Defend audit results during client-facing phone calls
- Act as a subject matter expert for internal, client-facing, and servicing-facing needs
- Review system questions to test information against provided documentation and handle exceptions
- Elevate questions to management when necessary
- Identify and report issues to management overseeing the engagement
- Accurately track time spent on reviews
Requirements
- At least three years of related servicing experience preferred
- Ability to meet production quality and service standards
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures
- Self-motivation and reliability
- Prompt and regular attendance is required
- Excellent PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft products
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Analytical ability and good judgment
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Demonstrate professional behavior and teamwork
- Knowledge of Residential Mortgage Servicing practices, rules, and guidelines
- Knowledge of compliance regulations and documentation applicable to mortgage servicing
- Familiarity with fraudulent red flags and outside services used to determine or verify fraud
- Ability to read and evaluate payment histories and servicing comments
Qualifications
- College degree / training in Finance / mortgage banking desired or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Entry-level support staff with 0-2 years of relevant experience
Benefits
The annual full-time base salary range for this role is $25.00 - $28.00. Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility, and SitusAMC Senior Management approval.
