Job Description

Responsible for the daily operations of the Sample Management Services Department. The duties listed below are not meant to be an exhaustive listed but to give an expectation of the minimal requirements.

Job Functions

• Classify, identify, package, mark, document, and ship items
• Liaise with clients to resolve any questions and ensure a clear understanding of what is needed prior to starting the job
• Monitor departmental emails and respond accordingly
• Warehouse operation duties include handling products, setting up, breaking down, mixing, blending, transferring operations, cleaning, and organizing
• Inspect/maintain/operate departmental equipment to include forklifts
• Facilitate the pickup and delivery of items around the Houston area and properly document the products and locations involved
• Inventory products and supplies weekly to avoid operational delays
• Other duties as assigned to meet departmental objectives

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Licenses and Certifications: Must be able to obtain TWIC card
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to prioritize workload and foster a sense of urgency and collaboration to achieve departmental goals; excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (verbal and written); ability to read and comprehend labels and safety instructions; ability to multitask in a fast-paced and ever-changing logistics and supply chain environment; effective problem-solving skills; ability to calculate basic math for conversions; ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail; must be safety conscious
