NACHC works to promote the provision of high-quality, affordable, community-based health care to everyone, particularly to underserved populations. ________________________________________ Position Summary The Specialist, Human Resources supports NACHC's People and Culture operations by administering HR programs, policies, systems, and processes while serving as a responsive and trusted resource to employees and managers. This position supports the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, HRIS administration, benefits, performance management, employee engagement, compliance, employee relations support, and talent development initiatives. The Specialist is responsible for ensuring that HR processes are executed accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner and contributes to an exceptional employee experience. The position works collaboratively across the organization and supports continuous improvement of HR programs, systems, and processes aligned with NACHC's strategic priorities and commitment to being an Employer of Choice. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities HR Operations and Employee Support Administer daytoday HR administrative operations and provide timely, professional support to employees and managers on HRrelated matters. Monitor and respond to inquiries received through the HR inbox and other HR communication channels. Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, programs, and processes, escalating complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR leader. Prepare employmentrelated correspondence, forms, and documentation. Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information. Recruitment and Onboarding Assist with coordinating recruitment activities in partnership with the Recruitment Manager, including job postings, candidate communications, interview scheduling, background checks, and preemployment requirements. Support the recruitment process to ensure a positive and consistent candidate experience. Coordinate new hire onboarding activities and help with the facilitation of new hire orientation. Ensure completion and accuracy of required onboarding documentation and HRIS transactions. Support NACHC's onboarding and employee integration programs. HRIS and Employee Records Maintain accurate and timely employee records and HR information within NACHC's HRIS and other HR systems. Process employee changes, including new hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, terminations, and other personnel actions. Conduct routine audits and data reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR information. Generate routine and ad hoc HR reports and assist with HR data analysis. Support HR technology enhancements, system testing, and process improvements. Benefits and Leave Administration Assist with benefits administration, including new hire enrollment, qualifying life events, open enrollment, employee inquiries, and vendor coordination. Serve as a resource to employees regarding routine benefits questions and escalate complex matters as appropriate. Support leave administration and maintain appropriate documentation. Assist with annual benefits and wellness initiatives. Performance Management and Talent Development Support NACHC's performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, tracking, communications, and related HRIS activities. Maintain appropriate records and reporting related to performance and talent programs. Employee Engagement, Culture and Wellness Support employee engagement, recognition, wellness, retention, and culture initiatives. Assist with employee engagement surveys and other employee feedback mechanisms. Coordinate logistics and communications for employee engagement activities, events, and programs. Track participation and other engagement metrics and assist with reporting and followup. HR Support and Analytics Prepare recurring and ad hoc HR reports, metrics, and dashboards. Support tracking of key HR measures, including recruitment, turnover, retention, employee engagement, performance, and other workforce metrics. Assist with analyzing HR data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Participate in HR projects, organizational initiatives, and crossfunctional workgroups. Develop and maintain HR templates, process documentation, trackers, and standard operating procedures. Support implementation of new HR programs, systems, policies, and organizational initiatives. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. ________________________________________ Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of progressive experience working in Human Resources or a related field (can include internship experience). Working knowledge of human resources practices, employee lifecycle processes, and employment policies. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with employees and managers at all levels of the organization. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, discretion, and diplomacy. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work, manage multiple deadlines, maintain attention to detail, and follow through on commitments. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify problems, exercise sound judgment, and recommend or implement solutions. 10% annual local travel to engagement events and conferences. Key Skills and Competencies: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate HR information clearly and professionally. Strong customer service orientation and commitment to providing an exceptional employee experience. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a highperforming HR team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Experience working with HRIS and other HR technology platforms is a plus Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and electronic document management systems. Ability to learn and effectively utilize new HR technology and systems. Experience with HR reporting, spreadsheets, and data analysis preferred.
