WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAMAs a member of the Texas HR team, the HR Specialist, along with their Manager, acts as an HR Business Partner for General Consultant cohorts in the Dallas office. Additionally, this role provides support for various employee processes and programs related to our consulting staff across all three Texas offices in Austin, Houston and Dallas. The programs are important pieces of Bain’s employee value proposition, thus a focus on customer service, attention to detail and strong communication is critical in the execution of these programs. The HR Specialist actively collaborates with the broader Texas HR & Program Management team, Centers of Excellence (COE), HR Operations team, and broader office leadership. Please note: Bain’s offices are operating on a hybrid model. It will be expected during onboarding and training this individual will be in office four days a week. Once trained, determined by the supervisor, the expectation will for our Human Resources team to be in office a minimum of three days a week. WHAT YOU’LL DO Consulting programs support:Supports the transfer program for Austin, Dallas and Houston office inbound and outbound transferees; understands and communicates policies to employees and Staffing team, liaises with Global Mobility, coordinates inbound transfer onboarding, affiliation and living arrangements, escalates tricky issues to supervisor and Global Mobility as needed, tracks transfer budget, completes all relevant paperwork and HRIS entryOversees leaves of absence process for Dallas office; in partnership with HR Manager, communicates policies to employees and Staffing; administers data entry. Tracks all LOA people movement for other internal processes. Teams with HR Operations team to ensure correct data.Leads administration of externship process across Texas; understands and communicates policies to employees and Staffing Program Managers, provides sourcing and resource support to externship seekers, manages all communications/ documentation with employee and Staffing Program Managers, elevates and collaborates with HR Manager, Global Externship Program Managers and Staffing on tricky issues as they ariseOwnership of comp processes for all cohorts across offices including creating NAP memos, review of PD click-up files and audit of compensation memos for consulting team membersOversees departure process for Dallas office staff and support Austin and Houston offices as needed; including sharing polices and conducting exit interviewsOnboarding and trainingTeam with AC and Consultant Recruiting team and HR team members to function as onboarding expert for incoming ACs, ACIs, Cs and Summer Associates; ensure all employee records are kept up to date with relevant offer letters, contracts and agreements. Responsible for coordinating logistics for new hire training (Pre-ACT) for our Associate Consultants and Consultants, ensure HR teams have necessary support in executing successful training programs.Collect work authorization documentation from new hires and processes in e-Verify HR Support:Liaise with Immigration team and employees when visa issues ariseMaintains HRIS records with daily approvals in Workday and may enter employee information as requested, including leaves of absence, departures, vacation balances, and transfersAdministers and processes tuition reimbursements; team with Global HR team to determine employee eligibilityGather data and run reports as requested through WorkdayAdminister and track client required background checks as neededPerform special projects and other related duties as assigned or as responsibilities dictate ABOUT YOUBachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience is requiredA minimum of 2-4 years professional experience is requiredStrong customer service, organization, interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to deal with highly confidential information appropriately; ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks simultaneouslyMeticulous attention to detail necessaryComprehensive knowledge of, and experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint is required; previous HRIS systems experience a bonus U.S. COMPENSATION INFORMATION Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below). Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows: In Texas, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $61,250- $73,500.
