Specialist FMEA/DRBFM
About the role
The Specialist FMEA/DRBFM function is designed to facilitate FMEA and DRBFM tasks, supporting the design, manufacturing, and quality groups in developing and releasing their documents.
Responsibilities
- Support Application and Core Engineers in all customer projects from start to finish, guiding them on selecting the right FMEA templates and structuring new FMEA documents.
- Interact with Engineering groups from other locations to exchange inputs and outputs related to application documents, ensuring comprehensive systems analysis.
- Contribute to the definition of special characteristics, using FMEA as a starting point, and consult on additional activities impacting product delivery, such as incoming inspection processes.
- Facilitate analysis of special characteristics and functional requirements for full system analysis across all component levels, bridging design and supplier communication.
- Participate in global teams for reviewing related Global procedures and constructing document templates to promote standardization.
- Provide training on uniform methodologies and execution, including the use of specialized software.
- Manage document control, overseeing the release, approval, and archiving of files at appropriate stages and maintaining the database.
Requirements
- Fluency in English for direct communication with engineers worldwide and document writing.
- Five years of experience in Engineering/design or Process Engineering development.
- Extensive knowledge of FMEA process methodology and techniques, with familiarity of the AIAG book.
- At least three years of experience creating, rating, releasing, and maintaining Design or Process FMEA documents.
- Proficiency in specialized software for FMEA document creation, with IQ-FMEA knowledge being advantageous.
Qualifications
- English language proficiency to communicate with engineers globally and write documents.
- Five years of relevant engineering or process engineering experience.
- Knowledge of FMEA process methodology and AIAG book.
- Experience in creating, rating, releasing, and maintaining FMEA documents.
- Proficiency in specialized software for FMEA document creation.
