Responsibilities
- Provides exercise and cardiac rehabilitative services.
- Aids in the daily operation of the program and customer service.
- Acts as a personal trainer for clients.
- Teaches proper exercise technique.
- Counsels clients based on their fitness and recovery needs.
- Develops fitness programs tailored to individual client needs.
- Serves in fitness assessments, exercise prescription, and supervision.
- Displays knowledge of cardiovascular disease, fitness assessment techniques, acceptable fitness levels, and exercise prescription.
- Provides direction and supervision of clients during exercise sessions.
- Maintains an organized, safe, clean, and efficient exercise environment.
- Completes assigned administrative duties.
- Contributes to the development of staff and students.
- Meets assigned goals.
Requirements
- Minimum required entry-level experience.
- Preferred/Desired one year of relevant experience.
- Minimum required education: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation, or a similar field.
- Preferred/Desired specialized training and/or certification related to the practice setting (e.g., Arthritis Foundation Certification, ANA Rehab Certification, CSCS Certification, MES Certification, APTA Rehab Certification, or AACVPR).
- Basic computer literacy skills.
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire date.
