About the role
This role is located in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Independently completes the full range of advanced administrative activities in support of a senior executive heading a large complex business unit or function.
- Responsible for daily interaction and management of communication with the assigned senior executive's direct reports. Interactions are frequently at the leadership level.
- Displays ability to appropriately interact with leaders inside and outside the organization during significant, frequent interactions. A commensately high level of tact and confidentiality are therefore essential along with the ability to modify communication style to suit the audience.
- Schedules meetings and travel arrangements and maintains calendar of appointments for the assigned senior executive.
Requirements
- Tact, diplomacy and confidentiality are essential skills based on the level of internal and external contacts.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills are required, including information exchange with internal and external contacts.
Qualifications
- A high school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- A bachelor's degree preferred.
- Applicable vocational training (e.g., courses on relevant business software like the Microsoft Office Suite of products, basic business writing, or similar) preferred.
- A degree or relevant business certifications preferred.
- 5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in lieu of some experience may be considered.
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Benefits
BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $52,000 and $100,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
