Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary intake and qualification specialist for all M+SG business, analyzing inbound leads to strategically determine the service path (M+SG, Group Sales, or other entities) and converting qualified opportunities.
- Construct the foundational framework for events by building complex master accounts, establishing room blocks, and structuring billing pathways within the resort’s systems, ensuring a seamless transition to the assigned Event Manager.
- Own and complete post-event financial lifecycle, performing comprehensive audits, executing all reconciliation and closing procedures for master accounts, and ensuring an accurate accounting to the Incentive Team to pay out Service Charges/Administrative Fees.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key operational departments, leveraging deep institutional knowledge to proactively solve challenges and optimize event processes for spaces outside the primary convention center.
- Act as the subject matter expert for event billing and system architecture, providing critical support to Event Managers and resolving financial inquiries from internal partners and clients to ensure satisfaction and revenue integrity.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute designated end-to-end event programs, managing smaller-scale corporate, tradeshow, and social events from initial inquiry through final billing.
Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 2 years of experience in food and beverage preferred.
- 2 years of experience in a hospitality services position.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, LMS, EBMS, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and Social Tables.
- Working knowledge of MICE industry.
- 1-year prior experience in groups or hotel hospitality preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in event planning and/or administrative support is preferred.
- Working knowledge of various food service styles preferred.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
- Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
- Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
- Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
