What your day-to-day will look like
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures across commercial and industrial facilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to ensure accurate and compliant installations
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems using appropriate testing devices and systematic problem-solving approaches
- Ensure all electrical installations meet local and national electrical codes and safety standards
- Assist with and regularly perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, door repairs, drywall work, and HVAC system maintenance
- Collaborate with other trades professionals and project managers to complete projects on time and to specification
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and identifying potential hazards
- Document work performed, materials used, and maintain accurate service records
Required qualifications
- Valid General Journeyman, LME, MPE, or Electrician license
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as an electrician
- Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
- Demonstrated experience with commercial and industrial electrical systems
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail
- General maintenance knowledge and familiarity across various building systems and maintenance tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively across teams
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred qualifications
- Industrial mechanical or millwright experience
- Experience with building automation systems and energy management controls
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Additional trade certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or related disciplines
