About the Role

L3Harris in Clifton, NJ is seeking a versatile Power Supply Design Engineer to support the design and manufacturing of Electronic Warfare (EW) products for ground and airborne-based military applications. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of analog circuit design with emphasis on DC-DC switched mode power supply design and development, including fly-back and feed-forward DC-DC converter design capabilities for low (<10W) and high (<200W) DC input power requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design power supply circuits, perform schematic capture, derating, and Worst-Case Analysis (WCA).
  • Prepare and present engineering design concepts and data results for internal design reviews.
  • Conduct design verification testing of engineering units and provide oversight of design through production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • 2 years of experience supporting design or production of electronic hardware, troubleshooting electronic circuits to the component level, performing schematic capture, overseeing PCB layout, and applying power conversion circuitry principles and design techniques (switched mode design, fly-back, feed-forward topologies).

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with design for EMI/EMC compliance.

Pay

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas is $92,500 - $171,500. Final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.

Schedule

9/80 schedule: employees work 9 out of 14 days, totaling 80 hours, and have every other Friday off.
