About the role
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist at Clark Pacific supports the implementation of environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures across all operations. This role collaborates with the EHS, Manufacturing, and Field teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular and ad hoc yard/plant/job site visits and audits under the direction of management.
- Aid in incident investigations under the direction of management.
- Collect and enter data related to injury prevention and enhancing workplace safety.
- Aggregate and draft reports on safety initiatives.
- Coordinate with EHS Management and Operational leaders on environmental, health, and safety engineering projects and initiatives.
- Focus on safety management to improve employee wellbeing and increase productivity and efficiency.
- Support COVID contact tracing as needed.
- Review, revise, and coach stakeholders regarding various safety programs such as JHA, PTP, rigging/pick plans, and fall protection.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Environmental Health and Safety role is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years total general manufacturing industry and/or construction experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental, or equivalent relevant heavy manufacturing or heavy construction experience is preferred.
- Preferred certifications: CHST, OHST, STS, STS-C.
- Required: EMT Card.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite programs.
