This role supports the contract lifecycle for agreements negotiated by Carnival Corporation’s Global Sourcing team, including drafting, evaluating, executing contracts, managing approval processes, and maintaining the contract repository and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee sections of the contract lifecycle from initiation to renewal or termination, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage approval workflows to execution; maintain contract repository and associated reporting.
  • Utilize Carnival’s Contract Management System to route contract documents for approval and signature; ensure all supporting documentation is uploaded.
  • Build and manage reporting that alerts sourcing managers on renewals and termination dates.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders (legal, compliance, tax, risk, data privacy, supply chain managers) to align contract terms with business objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Provide accurate reporting on contract status and ad-hoc reporting to support strategic plans for spend categories (e.g., Global Travel, On Board Media Content, Global Gaming).
  • Adhere to corporate policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct and audit procedures.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on common contracting language reviews, collaborating with the Corporate Legal team.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on contract management best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.
  • Drive continuous process improvements and navigate redlines to accelerate agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (Associate degree at minimum).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience managing corporate contracts.
  • Experience using a Contract Management System (CMS) tool (e.g., Ironclad, Coupa) for drafting, redline review, and approvals.
  • Strong knowledge of legal requirements and standard contractual provisions in corporate contract law.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) and contract management tools (Ariba, DocuSign).
  • Strong problem-solving skills to mediate complex contract issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with departments such as supply chain, risk, data privacy, tax, legal, and compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Conditions

  • This is an in-office role based in South Florida (Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area), requiring work from a designated Carnival office Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from home on Fridays.
  • Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
  • Work may require exposure to changing climate conditions and/or operating machinery.
  • Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Minimal or no travel required.
