About the Role

As caregivers, we deliver compassionate, quality medical care, primarily in emergency and patient relocation services around the world. This role provides companywide oversight of all internal Continuing Education Programs, ensuring compliance with regulations from governing agencies such as the American Heart Association (AHA) and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT).
Responsibilities
- Oversees Instructor and Process Development
- Establishes and maintains organizational compliance with nationally recognized accreditation agencies.
- Builds and maintains working relationships with Local, State, and National AHA, AAP, and NAEMT Officials.
- Ensures all programs meet guidelines set by appropriate governing bodies through a defined quality assurance program.
- Maintains records on all instructors to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Submits required annual training reports to company, regulatory, and/or credentialing agencies.
- Collaborates with leadership on local, state, and national accreditation, including continuing education programs.
- Creates relevant continuing education programs for internal and outreach use.
- Serves as a resource for instructors and employees in AHA, NAEMT, NREMT, IBSC, AACN, BCEN, and AAP programs.
- Conducts a minimum of two AHA instructor courses per year for company employees.
- Provides instructor updates as required by regulatory and/or credentialing agencies.
- Ensures all instructors are monitored by qualified personnel every two years.
- System and Process Management
- Oversees the Continuing Education Units (CEU) process for internal education.
- Maintains the company Education Calendar for internal programs.
- Collaborates with department leadership to create and maintain policies and procedures for internal continuing education.
- Oversees processing of AHA and NAEMT course completion rosters and issues course completion cards/certificates.
- Provides quarterly training and compliance statistical reports to company leadership.
- Conducts investigations of complaints regarding classes and submits detailed reports to regulatory agencies and leadership.
- Quality Management/Continuous Quality Improvement
- Seeks new ways to improve performance, processes, and services.
- Utilizes best practices to solve problems at the level work is being done.
- Incorporates Lean Learning principles into daily operations.
- Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of SOPs, Clinical Protocols, and quality management programs.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
- Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years current ED or ICU Nursing experience or Pre-Hospital EMS experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of AHA, NAEMT, and/or AAP Teaching Experience preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a PTO and/or Preceptor preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills (word processor, database).
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in primary state of assignment.
- Education
- Current RN Licensure or Paramedic Certification.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Education preferred.
- Credentials/Licenses
- Current AHA BLS Instructor Status preferred.
- Current AHA ACLS Instructor Status preferred.
- Current AHA PALS Instructor Status preferred.
- Current NAEMT PHTLS Instructor Status preferred.
- Current AMALS Instructor Status preferred.
- Current AHA Regional Faculty or Training Center Faculty Status preferred.

Pay
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year.
