Specialist, Claims

About the role

As a Specialist, Claims at RXO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and providing superior service to customers. Your attention to detail and strong work ethic will be essential in supporting the claims department.

Responsibilities

• Complete data entry and other tasks related to claims received via US Mail or email
• Conclude cargo claims to meet individual, team, and company goals
• Process claims according to company policies and procedures
• Understand and qualify the type of claims filed
• Investigate cargo claims for loss and damage to determine company liability and costs
• Communicate with Sales, Operations, and customers regarding the disposition of claims
• Compose professional claims correspondence
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a cargo claims examiner, analyst, or similar role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of Common Law Liability, Code of Federal Regulations, Rules and Tariffs, Transportation Contracts and Agreements, and the National Motor Freight Classification system
• Demonstrated ability to work under strict deadlines with good planning and organizational skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skills
