SPECIALIST, C.A.R.E EGTC

About the role

Coordinates and supports student mental health and wellness programs, resources, and services that promote C.A.R.E (Care, Assistance, Response, and Education), student wellbeing, success, and retention at EGTC (Emily Griffith Technical College).

Collaborates with students, faculty, staff, and community partners to connect students with appropriate support, provide training and guidance, and help ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the delivery and ongoing administration of mental health and wellness programs, resources, and support services for students across the college
• Develops and facilitates training programs for faculty and staff on student mental health, wellness resources, crisis response, and referral procedures
• Maintains and monitors systems, processes, and documentation to support compliance
• Collaborates with Student Services leadership and legal counsel on student support matters, including Title IX related processes and compliance activities
• Participates in strategic planning, program assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the Student Success Center and its services
• Serves as a liaison between students and campus, community, healthcare, and supportive service providers to ensure access to appropriate resources and interventions
• Builds and maintains partnerships with local, regional, and national organizations to expand student support services and promote student success and well-being
• Provides guidance to faculty and staff on strategies, student concerns and feedback and participates in departmental functions and extensive training
• Researches and monitors changes in laws, regulations, and best practices related to student services, mental health, and Title IX, and provides support to the Title IX Officer as needed
• Collaborates with support services, academic and administrative departments to identify student needs are being met
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Communication, Psychology or related field
• Master's Degree in Education, Communication, Psychology or related field preferred
• Two or more years of experience in Education, Mental Health, Community Resourcing or other relevant areas
