Specialist, Bakery- Maintenance- 3rd Shift

About the Role

Aspire Bakeries is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Specialist to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. In this role, you will maintain all plant and production electrical and control systems—including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and network sub-systems—while ensuring production schedules are met and equipment reliability is optimized.

Schedule

Shift: 3rd (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Weekend availability: Required

Pay

Hourly Rate: $40–$41 ($1.50/hour shift differential)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update documentation for all electrical and control systems, including hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control-related failures to minimize downtime.
• Train and coordinate activities of Electro-Mechanics across shifts to ensure consistent maintenance practices.
• Perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective repairs on production equipment and control systems.
• Maintain secondary plant systems such as steam, water, air, refrigeration, HVAC, and emissions control.
• Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and regulatory standards during all maintenance activities.
• Document maintenance work accurately in accordance with work orders and company procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; AS/AAS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred.
• Practical experience in machine and electrical control system installation and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and control system documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work safely during production and downtime periods.
• Basic math and measurement conversion skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance software and control system programming.
• Familiarity with P&ID, electrical single-line diagrams, and instrument loop drawings.
• Advanced troubleshooting and configuration skills for AC/DC and servo drives.
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment.
