What You’ll Do
- Maintains fleet status for effective communications between drivers and terminals
- Provides customer service and manages driver work and performance
- Maintains store delivery schedules and addresses customer service issues
- Sets up deliveries and handles driver paperwork
- Develops and maintains strong customer relationships to maximize freight order volumes
- Analyzes freight and staffing demands and plans accordingly
- Dispatches drivers, schedules loads, and provides delivery information
- Performs data entry, prepares reports, and ensures trailer/truck number consistency
- Schedules and communicates with vendors for inbound freight and pick-up/delivery times
- Maintains in-transit deliveries and updates customer on issues
- Answers phone calls regarding deliveries, freight, pick-ups, or other issues
- Reviews and updates driver projected time of arrival
- Performs other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years field operational experience or related management experience required
- Skills/Certifications: Superior analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; strong problem-solving and innovative thinking skills; extreme patience; comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations; proficiency in MS Word and Excel
