Specialised Carer - Home Care

In this role, you'll provide essential and practical care to help older people live independently in their homes and directly improve their quality of life. You’ll travel to clients’ homes using your own car (reimbursed at $0.99 per km plus paid travel time) and support clients across the Northern Beaches area, including Frenchs Forest, Dee Why, Collaroy, Mona Vale, Terrey Hills, Berowra, Lindfield, Manly, Balgowlah, North Sydney, Cromer, Mosman, and the broader Northern Sydney region.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care, such as helping with showering and dressing
• Assisting around the home with meal preparation and light house cleaning
• Providing transportation to appointments and assisting with shopping
• Assisting with medication

Requirements

• Ability to travel to and between client homes in your own car
• Compassionate, patient, and solutions-focused personality
• Valid Driver’s Licence and access to your own insured, reliable car (minimum Third Party Property Insurance)
• Ideally, a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (training available if not currently qualified)
• Flexibility to meet the changing needs of home care clients
