Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of IEPs, 504 plans, and multilingual learner services
- Maintain compliance documentation and ensure SESIS accuracy for audits
- Monitor and evaluate the delivery of special services, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
- Manage and support special education staff and service providers effectively
- Lead IEP meetings and high-stakes family communications with clarity and confidence
- Collaborate with CSE and external stakeholders to align student support services
- Implement MTSS systems, ensuring alignment with academic and behavioral needs
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in special education leadership or management
- Thorough knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and NYSED regulations
- Expertise in managing compliance and risk in special services delivery
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver special education services effectively
- Strong background in family engagement and communication regarding special education
- Advanced degree in Special Education or a related field, with NY certification eligibility
- Proven track record of ensuring fidelity in implementation of IEPs and service delivery
