The Special Security Office Support person will support the government in the day-to-day implementation of security policy and procedures for 3 units in the Colorado Springs, Colorado area.
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Special Security Office Support: salary starts at $110K per year. Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Responsibilities
- Support the supervision of daily security activities and enforce company and government security policies for 3 units in the Colorado Springs, Colorado area.
- Perform access control responsibilities, including managing badges, access cards, and controlled spaces at Space Base Delta 41.
- Support the government in certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances/accesses.
- Help the government manage MD6’s National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
- Help the government in performing duties as an assistant security manager for MD6.
- Manage the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) including tracking training status of all MD6 personnel.
- Adhere to Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 16-14, Security Enterprise Governance, to achieve required protection, planning and programming needs for MD6.
- Maintain the facility clearance in accordance with Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency requirements.
- Implement procedures for handling proprietary, business confidential, and government classified information.
- Aid in processing requests for granted personnel security clearances; review and submit documents as required.
- Manage security classification guides, safeguarding personnel information, resources technologies, facilities, and assets against harm, loss, or hostile acts and influences.
- Must be able to work full time on-site.
Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5-7 Years’ Experience in a Security Support role.
- Candidates must be US Citizens.
- Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance.
- Candidates will be subject to a US Federal Government background investigation and must favorably pass a drug screen.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and judgment skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, TEAMs, Outlook).
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
