Special Response Officer

About the role

GardaWorld Security Services is now hiring a Response Security Officer. Ready to suit up as a Special Response/Flex Security Guard. Must have an active PPSB license, a valid driver's license, and be over 21 years old. What matters most is your ability to adapt from one mission to the next. As a casual Security Officer – Response, your role will vary depending on the day and special event, whether it’s customer service, patrols, or surveillance, requiring agility and precision. You will be on call 24/7 Monday‑Sunday. Site Location: Wilmington, NC.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the premises to ensure security
• Conduct patrols to spot any suspicious activity
• Control access points and verify identities
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security
• Write detailed reports on events and incidents
• Collaborate with authorities during serious situations
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications

• Must have an active PPSB license or be able to take the 16‑hour Unarmed Security Training Course to obtain your license
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must have a clean driving record – no recent suspensions
• Must be over the age of 21 years old
• Must have complete open availability for all shifts and schedules
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of a High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Be able to pass a drug screen
• Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations
• Responsive and strong problem‑solving skills
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus
• Possess any required state license

Pay

$21.00 per hour (DailyPay available for GardaWorld employees)

Schedule

On‑call schedule: ability to cover any shift with 24‑hour reliability; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts; on‑call 24/7 Monday‑Sunday.
