Special Projects Mechanic (Service & Install)

Here’s a breakdown of the key responsibilities and qualifications: ### **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Project Leadership:** - Assist in the completion of small projects or tasks assigned to the team. - Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. - Organize and manage resources effectively. 2. **Technical Expertise:** - Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including ductwork, copper piping, refrigeration systems, and condensate lines. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC issues. - Read and interpret blueprints and submittals for installation and repair. 3. **Safety and Compliance:** - Maintain a safe work environment by following safety procedures and regulations. - Ensure all work complies with federal, state, and local laws, as well as corporate policies. 4. **Customer and Team Interaction:** - Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers. - Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or issues promptly. 5. **Administrative Tasks:** - Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each task. - Verify and complete punch lists and warranty items in a timely manner. ### **Qualifications:** - **Education and Certification:** - Possess a current TDLR (Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation) and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) card. - Valid Texas driver’s license and ability to drive all types of vehicles in the corporate fleet. - **Experience:** - 5+ years of experience in commercial/light commercial installation of HVAC equipment. - Proven ability to install and run copper piping for refrigeration systems. - Experience with PVC and copper for condensate lines. - **Skills:** - Proficiency in reading and understanding complex blueprints and submittals. - Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC systems. - Ability to work in various weather conditions and from different heights. - **Other Requirements:** - Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends as needed. - Regular travel requirements, including some overnight travel. - Physical ability to climb and work from various heights. - Maintain a clean and organized vehicle. - Pass a background check and drug screening. ### **Benefits:** - Health insurance, vision, dental, company-paid life insurance, and short-term disability. - 401(k) retirement plan. ### **Additional Notes:** - Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. - This position is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship.
