About the role
The Special Program Sales Manager oversees sales activities for a specific program (e.g., windows, doors, EWP, etc.). This position manages coordinators in ordering packages and quality assurance, sets pricing tiers for all customers, and serves as a liaison between sales and operations to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Manage coordinators in ordering specialty program packages, verifying accuracy and correct use of multiplier.
- Set pricing tier for each customer.
- Audit special orders and aging orders reports.
- Work closely with install managers to schedule subcontractors and labor for installation of product.
- Order stock inventory specific to each category (flashing, caulk, tape, etc.).
- Manage dispatcher to verify and check all incoming and outgoing freight.
- Review all sales orders for accuracy, appropriate documentation, and clearance.
- Ensure production manager maintains machinery and all safety standards when applicable.
- Serve as a liaison between sales and operations departments to ensure customer orders are processed and fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Manage filing and organization of all paperwork related to the program (special orders, stock receiving, AR billing, etc.).
Supervisory Responsibility
This position may provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to coordinators.
Work Environment
This position is located at the store and may involve working outdoors or being exposed to wet, humid, or extreme weather conditions depending on location.
Physical Demands
This role involves constantly being on one’s feet, interacting with customers, and occasionally lifting objects up to 80 pounds.
Qualifications
- Performs work under general supervision.
- Handles basic issues and problems independently; refers complex issues to the Store Manager.
- Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter, including field policies, procedures, and practices.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Experience preferred with sourcing material.
- Invoicing, billing, and/or accounts receivable experience preferred.
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
