Special Procedures Technologist - Interventional Radiology

About the role

Join the Cleveland Clinic Akron General team as a Special Procedures Technologist in the Radiology Department. You will work alongside passionate caregivers, assist physicians with special procedures, and contribute to a patient‑first healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform exams as directed by the radiologist to obtain appropriate views for accurate diagnosis.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, including pulse assessment and sterile field preparation.
• Maintain an adequate level of supplies.
• Enter accurate data into the Radiology Information System and PACS for patient, film, and supply tracking.
• Ensure safety by using appropriate radiation and bloodborne pathogen precautions.
• Assist and support the Radiologic student program, providing supervision, feedback, image review, and quarterly evaluations.
• Attend continuing education programs and complete mandatory training to maintain licensure and professional competencies.
• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Minimum qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved School of Radiologic Technology program.
• License as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Ohio.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Certification through ARRT in Cardiovascular Technology within two years of hire.

Preferred qualifications

• Three years of experience as a Diagnostic Technologist, or one year of experience in special procedures.

Schedule

Days: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM.

Pay

Minimum hourly: $34.50 — Maximum hourly: $51.00. The displayed range reflects the anticipated range for new hires and does not include shift differentials, overtime, or the value of the benefits package.
