About the Role

Performs invasive procedures partnered with the interventional radiologist. Responsible for patient assessment, education pre and post procedure, safe care and monitoring of the patient during the procedure. Responsible for safe administration of radiation, contrast dosing, and image processing.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in interventional radiology preferred and/or graduate of an advanced IR program.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • At least two years of modality-specific work experience required.
  • Proactively maintains and renews ARRT, state license, BLS, PPD, respirator fit test, and POC training.

Skills

  • Able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision.
  • Able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiar with age-specific criteria.
  • Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to rotate.

Pay

Hourly pay grade: Health-27.

Schedule

PRN (as needed) position with scheduled weekly hours of 12.
