Special Procedures Tech

About the role

The Special Procedures / Interventional Radiology Tech works under the direction of the Imaging Director, performing technical procedures that may involve ionizing radiation for pathology detection in patients. Duties include regulating equipment, completing paperwork, organizing images, and ensuring safety protocols are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Regulate equipment used for exposing x-ray film and/or digital receptors
• Complete appropriate paperwork and computer applications
• Organize and prepare images for interpretation by Radiologists
• Operate equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles

Requirements

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-R) Radiography (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• Associate Degree

Qualifications
