About the role
The Special Procedure Technologist assists the nursing and physician teams in coordinating daily technical procedures within the Physiology department. They support the Interventional Radiology team by preparing and performing examinations, ensuring quality control, and maintaining patient comfort and safety during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily schedules
- Prepare exam rooms
- Collaborate with physicians on orders and requisitions
- Operate digital and conventional imaging equipment
- Manage radiation safety and protection
- Program digital systems
- Ensure radiation safety
- Participate in continuing education
Qualifications
- Active ARRT license
- Active NJ DEP license
- BLS certification
- Preference for at least 2 years of radiology and procedural Interventional Radiology experience
