About the role

We are looking for playful, high-energy staff to lead autistic children in educational activities and games at our Southwest Houston location. You will incorporate sensory activities (arts, crafts, games) into lessons, ensure safety rules are followed, record notes after each session, and participate in field trips.

Success On The Spectrum (SOS) is a learning center for children with autism, assigning one behavior technician (teacher) per child to teach communication, pretend play, self-feeding, social skills, and more.

Responsibilities

• Lead autistic children in educational activities and games
• Incorporate sensory activities (arts, crafts, games) into lessons
• Ensure all safety rules are followed
• Record notes after each session
• Participate in field trips

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM
• Teams rotate clients every 90 minutes within the center

Pay

• $16/hr starting pay
• $17–$20/hr after registration/certification
• Overtime opportunities available
• Pay is not affected by client cancellations
