About The Job
Success On The Spectrum is a learning center dedicated to helping children with Autism. We employ one "teacher" (behavior technician) per child, who rotates clients throughout the day. Our mission is to teach children essential life skills such as talking, playing, feeding themselves, making friends, etc., while fostering a fun environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead educational activities and games for children.
- Maintain safety protocols and ensure all rules are followed.
- Participate in monthly field trips.
- Create and prepare lesson materials based on plans created by the BCBA.
- Incorporate sensory activities into lessons (Arts/Crafts/Activities/Games).
- Record client responses in the Central Reach program.
- Perform general end-of-day cleaning duties.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (a College Degree is preferred).
- No criminal background required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to lift at least 40 pounds, sit on the floor, and engage in physical activity.
