Special Needs Day Program Direct Support Professional (DSP)

About the role

Join our team as a community day services direct support professional (DSP) to assist adults with intellectual disabilities engage in programming and participate in community activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care needs – all ADL’s
• Assisting with all household tasks, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; maintain a safe and healthy home environment that encourages learning.
• Monitor individuals and engage in redirection.
• Document individual’s activities, concerns, and progress notes as required.
• Participate in and out-of-home activities which may include driving company vehicles.
• Provide an abuse and neglect free environment at all times.

Requirements

• DSP certified or the ability to become certified through our paid training
• A high school diploma or GED
• Lift 50 lbs
• Pass a criminal background check
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Pay

Starting Pay up to $16.00 - $26.00 - Based on Experience

Schedule

FULL TIME Hours: 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. : Monday - Friday
