About the role

The Northeast Health District's Babies Can't Wait (BCW) Program is seeking a part-time (hourly) Special Instructor to provide early intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth to age three) and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Congduct developmental evaluations to determine eligibility for the Babies Can't Wait program.
  • Provide developmental assessments, family coaching, and early intervention activities for children and their families.
  • Maintain an assigned caseload and provide ongoing support and follow-up services.
  • Prepare evaluation reports and maintain accurate documentation for the child's official record and the family.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized plans and specialized programming for children and families.
  • Travel extensively throughout the Northeast Health District's 10-county service area to provide home-based early intervention services.
  • Maintain HIPAA and FERPA privacy and confidentiality standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while building positive relationships with children, families, community partners, and team members.
  • May work occasional evenings and weekends to meet program needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social, Behavioral, or Biological Sciences or a directly related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Two (2) years of experience providing early intervention services to young children and their families.
  • Experience conducting developmental evaluations and developmental assessments.
  • Experience providing family coaching and parent education.
  • Experience in early intervention, special education, and early childhood development, or a related field.
  • Home visitation experience preferred.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • A Valid Driver's License And Reliable Transportation Are Required.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
