Job Description WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: May Include, But Is Not Limited To Read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), production sheets, room diagrams, and setup maps to accurately stage eventsSet up and tear down tables, chairs, podiums, drape and other event equipment for a wide variety of eventsWork independently or as part of a team to complete setup assignments efficiently and accuratelyFollow task lists and instructions to ensure all setup requirements are completed on timeAdapt to changing priorities, event needs, and last-minute requestsSet up and troubleshoot projection, wireless internet, sound, and lighting equipment as neededCommunicate effectively with team members and other departmentsRemain positive, professional, and guest-focused in all interactionsOperate designated equipment, machinery, and tools safely and responsiblyFollow all safety guidelines and Greenleaf Hospitality Group policies and proceduresAssist in other event-related roles, including ushering, security, parking, or event production, as needed What You Need For This Position Ability to work flexible and inconsistent schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to remain on your feet for long periods (up to 8 hours) and perform physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying equipmentAble to stoop and bendAble to lift up to 40 pounds from time to timeAble to work individually and with a groupAbility to understand instructions and independently begin assigned tasksAbility to prioritize tasks, remain productive, and complete assignments with minimal supervisionAble to comply with safety and health code standardsAble to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasksDependable, adaptable, and committed to working as part of a team to accomplish event goals
