Typical Duties

  • Perform traffic control and pedestrian management during Park City Special Events
  • Make decisions related to Park City and State of Utah laws to ensure consistent law enforcement and safety of Park City community and guests
  • If necessary, respond to major emergencies
  • Perform emergency first aid and life-saving measures for suspects, citizens, and first responders

Minimum Qualifications

  • A current full-time law enforcement officer with a law enforcement agency in the State of Utah
  • Outside law enforcement agency must have current MOU with PCMC/PCPD
  • Tahoe P.O.S.T. category I certification
  • Possess a valid Utah State Driver’s License

Working Conditions

  • Occasionally required to use hands to manipulate objects, controls, or tools
  • May be required to use physical force in course of assigned duties
  • Potential hazard of physical attack or injury including the threat of edged weapons and firearms
  • Potential exposure to fire, chemical, electrical, and mechanical hazards
  • Potential exposure to bodily fluids, unknown and illicit substances
  • Frequent exposure to fast moving vehicles and motor vehicle accidents
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Physical strength, agility and/or endurance can be challenged by uncooperative individuals and can require the use of physical restraints in order to protect the individual, the officer, and uninvolved parties.

PAY RATE

$75.00 per hour
