Typical Duties
- Perform traffic control and pedestrian management during Park City Special Events
- Make decisions related to Park City and State of Utah laws to ensure consistent law enforcement and safety of Park City community and guests
- If necessary, respond to major emergencies
- Perform emergency first aid and life-saving measures for suspects, citizens, and first responders
Minimum Qualifications
- A current full-time law enforcement officer with a law enforcement agency in the State of Utah
- Outside law enforcement agency must have current MOU with PCMC/PCPD
- Tahoe P.O.S.T. category I certification
- Possess a valid Utah State Driver’s License
Working Conditions
- Occasionally required to use hands to manipulate objects, controls, or tools
- May be required to use physical force in course of assigned duties
- Potential hazard of physical attack or injury including the threat of edged weapons and firearms
- Potential exposure to fire, chemical, electrical, and mechanical hazards
- Potential exposure to bodily fluids, unknown and illicit substances
- Frequent exposure to fast moving vehicles and motor vehicle accidents
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Physical strength, agility and/or endurance can be challenged by uncooperative individuals and can require the use of physical restraints in order to protect the individual, the officer, and uninvolved parties.
PAY RATE
$75.00 per hour
