Special Events Attendant

Overview

SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence firm that uses computer vision to enable checkout‑free parking experiences. The company operates the largest parking network in America, with over 23,000 employees serving more than 4,000 locations across North America and Europe. SP+ is reinventing parking and aims to power checkout‑free experiences everywhere.

Responsibilities

• Courteously assist customers by answering questions and delivering quality customer service.
• Receive customer payment for parking services and facilitate traffic flow through the gate.
• Arrive on time each scheduled day in a neat, clean uniform.
• Provide directions and information about surrounding city locations.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
• Report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility or Senior Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc., to the Facility or Senior Manager.
• Learn each special‑event location and its specific requirements.
• Count “bank” money at the beginning of the shift to verify the starting total.
• Collect cash and/or coupons, maintain cash security, make change, and issue receipts or tickets.
• Verify shift transactions against cash on hand and complete a cashier shift report.

Qualifications

• Less than a high school diploma or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Availability to work special shifts, which may include third‑shift and weekends depending on location needs.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to present information effectively in one‑on‑one situations with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Basic arithmetic skills: add and subtract two‑digit numbers; multiply and divide by tens and hundreds; perform these operations using U.S. currency.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear the complete uniform at all times.
• Physical demands: regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasionally sit, climb, or balance; occasionally lift and move up to 25 lb; work outdoors in varying weather conditions (cold, rain, snow, heat, humidity).

Pay

$20 per hour.
