Special Events Attendant

We are looking for Special Events Attendants with warm smiles who enjoy interacting with people. This role could be the first step in your career with SP+, a diverse and innovative company.

Responsibilities

• Courteously assist customers by answering questions.
• Deliver quality customer service, receive payments for parking services, and facilitate traffic flow through the gate.
• Arrive at work every scheduled day on time and in a neat, clean uniform.
• Provide directions and share knowledge of surroundings to inform customers of various city locations.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
• Report any known accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility or Senior Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc., to the Facility or Senior Manager.
• Learn each Special Event location and its requirements.
• Count “bank” money at the beginning of the shift to verify the starting total.
• Collect cash and/or coupons while maintaining security of cash.
• Make change and issue receipts or tickets for each transaction.
• Verify shift transactions against money on hand and complete the cashier shift report.

Requirements

• Less than High School education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s, using units of American money.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.

Qualifications

• Availability to work special shift requirements, which may vary by location. If applicable, availability to work the 3rd shift and weekends may be required.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
• The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• Required to work outside in varying weather conditions (cold, rainy, snowy, harsh, hot, and humid).

Pay

$18.00 per hour.
