About the role
The Camphill School is seeking full-time Special Education Paraprofessionals to join our team for the 2026/2027 school year. The mission of The Camphill School is to create wholeness for children and youth with developmental disabilities through education, extended family living, and therapy so that they may be better understood, they may more fully unfold their potential, and they may meaningfully participate in life.
Responsibilities
- Assists students in the classroom with daily living skills
- Supports students in educational, recreational, and cultural activities
- Works outdoors rain or shine
- Enjoys being creative
- Is culturally responsive
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Knowledge of adaptive Waldorf curriculum
