Special Education Vocational Facilitator/Instructor

Make a Difference Beyond the Classroom Help high school students build the skills and confidence they need for what comes next. Community Workforce Solutions is seeking a Special Education Vocational Facilitator/Instructor to work with high school students with disabilities throughout Rockingham County and Caswell County. As part of our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program, this position helps students explore career opportunities, build workplace readiness and practical life skills, and prepare for greater independence after high school. Help students build skills today that can open doors tomorrow.

Responsibilities

• Support and deliver career-readiness and life-skills instruction
• Work with students individually and in small-group or classroom settings
• Prepare and adapt lesson materials and hands-on activities
• Support student participation, skill development, and progress
• Maintain accurate program documentation and assist with required reporting
• Collaborate with school staff and other Pre-ETS team members
• Travel between assigned high schools throughout Rockingham County and Caswell County

Requirements

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Rehabilitation, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Experience teaching, training, or working with students or individuals with disabilities
• Ability to complete a background check and drug screening
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 10-25 pounds; ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the day

Qualifications

• Valid North Carolina driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to travel between school sites throughout Rockingham County and Caswell County
