We partner with school sites to provide direct, targeted instruction that helps students overcome learning obstacles, build confidence, and achieve academic success. We are seeking dedicated, certified Special Education Tutors / Instructors to provide direct, high-impact in-person educational support to students at local school sites in Newburgh, NY. In this role, you will deliver tailored 1:1 or small-group instruction adapted to each student’s unique learning needs, IEP goals, and academic requirements. Responsibilities
- Provide individualized 1:1 or small-group Special Education instruction aligned with student IEP goals and curricular standards.
- Differentiate learning materials and techniques to support diverse learning styles, cognitive abilities, and behavioral needs.
- Track student attendance, engagement, and academic progress throughout each assignment.
- Maintain positive, professional communication with school site contacts and program coordinators.
- Foster a safe, encouraging, and structured learning atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Special Education Teaching Certification (Required).
- Proven experience working with students receiving special education services in a school, clinical, or formal tutoring setting.
- Strong classroom management, lesson adaptation, and student engagement skills.
