About the role
Nokomis Regional Middle School seeks qualified Special Education Teachers to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of middle level students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Collaborate with other special education teachers, administrators, and parents to support student learning
- Provide small group and one-on-one instruction to address students' academic and social-emotional needs
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Maine teaching license with endorsement in Special Education
- Experience working with middle level students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
