About the role
Self-contained classroom and resource room positions available in all subject areas.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized instruction to students with disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other special education staff
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
Requirements
- New Jersey Instructional Certificate
- New Jersey Teacher of the Handicapped or Students with Disabilities
- New Jersey Instructional Certificate (any subject area)
Qualifications
- Experience working with students with disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for teaching and supporting students with diverse needs
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Proficiency in using assistive technology
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
