Special Education Teacher - Statewide
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction to students receiving special education services
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions
- Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional growth
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations
- Foster inclusive and supportive learning environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field (required)
- Valid Maine Special Education certification or eligibility for certification
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Experience in school-based special education settings preferred

We partner with school districts across the state and have opportunities available in various placements including Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Special Education, Middle School Special Education, High School Special Education, Resource Room Programs, Self-Contained Classrooms, Life Skills Programs, Behavioral Support Programs, and Autism Support Programs.
